Building website using Umbraco

Over the next weeks I will be writing a series of post on how to build your own website using Umbraco (CMS) Content Management System. I will be sharing the things I learned while studying this easy to learn, simple yet very flexible CMS.

The series will cover

  • Installation and setting up your development environment.
  • Creating the site structure (document types, templates, styles(css), script(javascripts).
  • Creating site contents.
  • Using Macros to create forms and display contents programatically.
  • Adding site search functionality.
  • Packaging your site.

So if you wanted to learn to build your website from scratch using Umbraco, please do follow my post.

Stay tuned for more updates. Thanks.

My New Website now Live!

Finally after a year of my site being offline, I managed to get it back up again. Now it is running on my new favorite CMS Umbraco. Site search is powered by Lucene and Examine.NET, both built-in to Umbraco. The website uses "CoolBlue" template designed by Styleshout.

Thank you Styleshout for providing beautiful website templates for free.

I will be posting tutorials and articles in the blog section. I will also upload some of the projects I worked on.

Thank you for visiting my site. Stay tuned for more updates.
